The interesting aspect of it is the button is one image split into three sections. The CSS code directs the browser to move x amount of pixels up or down the image to produce the rollover effects. You can stack them on top of each other also, as shown below. These did flicker in IE, but once I added the visited code it stopped. When you click one of the links they will all be visited, same link this page. Check out this page
Eyecandy Games for another example. Once you click one of them the rollover effect will not work, you will have to clear your cache and then reload the page.
